Happy New 2012! There is a calendar of 2012 events in the vestibule for you. We hope this church calendar will help you plan your new year. Our prayer, also, is that these events will be opportunities to honor God and help others.
    We want to honor God this year even more so than 2011. Paul had a great thought for us to apply as we face a new year: “Forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before” (Philippians 3:13).
    There were failures, mistakes, and sins in 2011 we want to forget. We can confess our sins and learn from our mistakes. Now, we reach forth for God honoring goals before us in 2012. Take some time to pray over and answer these questions. Please, no speed-reading!

• How can I better honor God in my personal relationship with Christ in 2012?
• How can I make a greater spiritual impact as a husband, wife, son or daughter, parent or grandparent in 2012?
• How can I present a more effective witness to my fellow workers or neighbors in 2012?
• How can I be a bigger blessing to my co-laborers at Gospel Baptist Church this New Year?
